Originally built for military duty, the AM General M998A1 Humvee is known for its rugged utility and battlefield toughness. This 1991 example, however, has been transformed into a high-performance restomod that blends military heritage with modern supercharged muscle. Purchased in 2017 from Barrett-Jackson as a stock M998, it underwent a full frame-off build totaling $78,000 in invoices. The result is a battle-worn beast powered by a GM LSA 6.2L supercharged V8—delivering Corvette-level performance in a Humvee shell. 

The build was completed with premium components including a Wicked Performance-built 6L80E 6-speed automatic transmission, AVA 242 transfer case, Summit Racing fuel system, and more. The body and frame were sandblasted and epoxy-coated before receiving a custom War Bird paint scheme. The interior features a bespoke dashboard, aircraft-style gauges, and full insulation for improved comfort.

This unique Humvee is now offered by the seller on consignment for the current owner with a clean Ohio title.
