Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was a stylish model of GM’s popular G-body platform. It featured a rear-wheel-drive layout on a 108-inch wheelbase, and wore a sleek body featuring a notchback silhouette with a touch of chrome.
A standard 3.8-liter V6 or an optional 5.0-liter V8 were offered, with three- or four-speed automatic transmissions backing them. The Monte’s coil-spring suspension utilized an independent front and live-axle rear design, tuned for a smooth ride. Braking was handled by capable front discs and rear drums. And inside, a functional, comfortable cabin offered cloth bench seats and manual controls, with optional air conditioning and power accessories.
The 1986 Monte Carlo served as a dependable, no-frills personal coupe then. And it represents one of the most desired 1980s G-bodies today.
This 1986 Monte Carlo retains its classic styling — enhanced by a cowl-induction hood, a Monte SS-style rear spoiler, and Cragar wheels. And it has been upgraded with a Tuned Port Injection V8, and a powerful aftermarket stereo system.
