Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Part of Chevrolet’s second-generation Camaro lineup, the 1980 version reflected the performance and styling trends of the late 1970s. Engine options ranged from an economical inline-six to several V8s, and the car featured a more aerodynamic body than earlier Camaros, with restyled front and rear fascias and a revised grille.
This example, refinished in white, has been restored and upgraded, centering around a 454ci big-block V8 reportedly bored to 467ci and fitted with a forged and fully balanced rotating assembly, Eagle H-beam connecting rods, SRP forged pistons, aluminum cylinder heads, and an Edelbrock Performer RPM hydraulic roller camshaft and intake manifold.
Fuel delivery is handled by a Holley Sniper 2 EFI throttle-body fuel-injection system paired with a Holley HyperSpark ignition system, while tube headers, chrome valve covers, and a functional bug-catcher-style hood scoop add to its performance-oriented appearance. Power is delivered through a four-speed automatic transmission with a U.S. Shift Quick 4 controller to a Ford 9" rear axle.
Additional upgrades include Competition Engineering subframe connectors, Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings, an aluminum radiator with dual electric cooling fans, trunk-mounted battery, American Racing wheels, reupholstered black vinyl seats, AutoMeter gauges, and AM/FM head unit with CD player. Work was completed in 2020, and the car has reportedly been driven approximately 4,000 miles since.
This 1980 Chevrolet Camaro is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of its current owner with a Big-Block Chevy Engines rebuild book and a clean Michigan title.
