Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The 1980 MG MGB Roadster marked the end of an 18-year production run that began in 1962. Based on the original MGB design, the 1980 model featured a 1.8‑liter OHV B‑Series inline‑four and unibody steel chassis. This final-year roadster retained the rubber bumpers introduced in 1974 to comply with U.S. safety regulations, along with a one‑inch raised ride height and a de‑tuned engine for emissions standards in North America.

Equipped with a four-speed manual gearbox, rack-and-pinion steering, front disc brakes, and independent front suspension, the Roadster offered classic British sports car handling while maintaining its renowned affordability, driving enjoyment, and mechanical simplicity. Production at Abingdon, England, ceased in October 1980, concluding with over half a million MGBs built across all variants.

This 1980 MGB Roadster is finished in red with a black soft top over black vinyl upholstery. The factory 1.8-liter inline-four is fed by a single Zenith carburetor, and additional features include an aftermarket muffler, 14” Rostyle wheels, LED lights, and a Sony CD stereo with satellite radio connectivity.

This "B" is now offered at no reserve with a tonneau cover and a clean Delaware title in the seller’s name.
