Description
The third-generation Chevrolet C/K trucks were a series that helped redefine the American pickup by blending rugged four-wheel-drive capability with improved comfort, safety, and everyday drivability. Often called the "Squarebody" by enthusiasts, the medium-duty K-series trucks became a favorite among farmers, contractors, outdoor enthusiasts, and recreational four-wheel-drive owners alike.
For the 1979 model year, Chevrolet gave the trucks a revised front-end appearance with updated grille and lighting details that distinguished them from earlier versions while retaining the classic, boxy styling that these trucks are known for.
This 1979 Chevrolet K20 was modified prior to the seller's 2024 acquisition, and it is finished in a gradient two-tone custom paint job with a Lamborghini orange hue as its primary shade. The bed has been coated with a spray-in bed liner, topped by a tonneau cover. It has been lifted to accommodate chrome Mickey Thompson 17" wheels wrapped in 35" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tire. Inside, it features a black bench seat, floor shifters for both the 4x4 and transmission, and an Alpine stereo with Kicker speakers. Under the hood sits a 427ci V8 mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine features a four-barrel Edelbrock carburetor, headers, dual exhaust, and matching Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner assembly. This truck is also equipped with power steering and power front disc brakes.
This modified 1979 Chevrolet K20 is now offered with a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
