Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Introduced in 1977 on a downsized platform, Ford’s seventh-generation Thunderbird proved hugely successful. In 1978, Thunderbird production exceeded 350,000 units, making the it one of the most popular Thunderbirds ever built.
The standard Thunderbird two-door hardtop was the foundation of the lineup and featured formal roof styling, a long hood, prominent grille, hidden windshield pillars, and a luxurious six-passenger interior. Engines ranged from the economical 302ci V8 to the larger 351 and 400 V8s. All were equipped with a three-speed automatic transmission.
This example is finished in brown paint with a full vinyl roof covering over a brown interior with two-tone brown cloth upholstery. In addition to its 302ci V8 engine, the Thunderbird features hideaway headlamps with vacuum-operated covers, 15” cast aluminum wheels, Hankook Optimo tires, power front disc brakes and steering, and an AM/FM stereo with 8-track tape player.
This 1978 Ford Thunderbird is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a clean Michigan title in the current owner's name.
