Description
OFFERED AT NO RESERVE
Introduced in 1961, the MG Midget became one of Britain’s most beloved affordable sports cars, offering lightweight construction, nimble handling, and classic roadster styling.
By 1977, the Midget was in its final years of production and represented the ultimate evolution of the long-running model. Powered by a 1,493cc (1.5-liter) inline-four engine sourced from Triumph, the '77 Midget delivered spirited performance through a four-speed manual transmission while maintaining the simple, driver-focused character that defined the marque.
To meet U.S. safety and emissions regulations, the little sports car featured energy-absorbing black rubber bumpers, a raised ride height, and emissions-control equipment while retaining its compact dimensions and responsive steering.
This example, which has been with its current owner for 30 years, is finished in Caramel Metallic paint with a replacement convertible top over a black interior with vinyl upholstery. Features include independent front suspension, front disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, bucket seats, padded dash, and tachometer. The British drop top has also received 13” aftermarket 5-spoke alloy wheels with MG center caps and an aftermarket head unit.
This 1977 MG Midget is now represented by a Broad Arrow Specialist at no reserve with a clean Mississippi title in the current owner's name.
