Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Introduced in 1971, Mercedes-Benz SL's third generation — called R107 — marked a pivotal shift in the SL range, transforming it into a high-performance luxury roadster designed from the get-go with V8 power. Under the hood, the 1977 450SL featured a 4.5L V8 engine, producing around 160 hp and typically paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The 450 SL came with a removable hardtop and a folding soft top, giving drivers the flexibility of a coupe or convertible, and features MB-Tex vinyl upholstery, wood trim, and power accessories.
This 1977 example is finished in Brilliant Red Metallic paint with Parchment MB-Tex interior, as well as a replacement black convertible top. Additions includes a Nardi wood-rim steering wheel and aftermarket stereo system, and the seller reports adding approximately 2,500 miles during their ownership.
This 1977 Mercedes-Benz 450SL is now offered at no reserve with service records, a color-matched hardtop and stand, and a clean Washington title in the seller’s name.
