Introduced for 1973, the third-generation Chevrolet C/K Series was a major advancement in Chevrolet's full-size truck lineup, combining improved ride quality, increased interior comfort, and enhanced capability. The seller discovered this Dark Gold Poly-finished '76 C20 Custom Deluxe in Tucson, Arizona, in 2021 where it is said to have been fitted with a camper but had not been driven since the mid-1980s.

Following the seller's acquisition, the truck's 292ci inline-six was overhauled, body panels and interior trim were replaced, and the clutch and brake systems were serviced, in addition to more work described below. From the seller: “I found this truck in Tucson, Arizona, in 2021, where it had been sitting in someone’s yard with a camper on it since the mid-‘80s. From what I was told, the truck was bought new with the camper added by the dealer. The owners bought it to go camping in retirement until they were unable to drive anymore, and then it was parked.

"The excellent condition of the bed is the result of the camper being on it all those years in Arizona. It has dealer-installed air conditioning, power steering, power-assisted brakes, dual 20-gallon fuel tanks, and a four-speed manual transmission with a granny-low first gear. There is virtually no rust on the frame.

"I put a lot of time and money into this truck and have used it as a daily driver. I fully intended to keep it, but my wife now wants a truck with a back seat for the grandkids, so I’ve decided to let it go.”
