The first-generation Bronco debuted in 1965, marking Ford’s entrance into the sport utility market. Its development was the result of research into the Scout and Jeep CJ, which found those vehicles had commendable off-road prowess, at the expense of passenger comfort and horsepower. Ford designed and built the competing Bronco with three body styles: the open-air Roadster, two-door Sports Utility, and three-door Wagon.
By 1975, the Bronco lineup had been streamlined to the Pickup and Wagon body styles, with a V8 sending power to a three-speed manual or automatic transmission. A two-speed transfer case handled four-wheel-drive duties, and a tough coil front/leaf rear suspension with double-acting shocks handled the bumps.
This updated Bronco has been refinished in Brittany Blue, and enhanced with a custom hood and shaved doors. The interior wears black upholstery, a body-color dashboard with aftermarket gauges, and a Hurst shifter, and is protected by a custom roll bar.
Power is supplied by a modified carbureted 351ci Ford V8 connected to a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. And locking front hubs, a lift kit, and big Mickey Thompson tires give it increased off-road capability.
This 1975 Ford Bronco is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Tennessee title.
