Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The very first Porsche in 1948 was a mid-engine sports car and in 1969 the company introduced an entry-level successor in the same configuration dubbed the 914. By the late 1960s, inflation and currency issues had forced Porsche so far up market (above the magic $10,000 mark for a highly optioned 911 S) that they saw the need for a new four-cylinder entry-level car. The answer was a highly successful collaboration with Volkswagen and Karosserie Karmann.

This 1975 914 1.8 has had the same owner from new who purchased it from Travale Porsche-Audi in Stockton, California on 21 January 1975. Originally Forest Green (now resprayed Mason Green) with a matching interior, powered by the 95 horsepower 1.8-liter flat four, its superb handling and fine brakes make it easy to see how one owner could cherish it for so long. While always garaged, years of ownership in Nevada’s dry climate have helped preserve its mostly original condition. Displaying the lovely patina of driving enjoyment, this one owner Porsche 914 is ready to start a new chapter.
