Description
The third‑generation Corvette (C3) debuted in 1968, introducing a dramatic new body inspired by the Mako Shark II concept and offered in both coupe and convertible forms. Its styling emphasized sweeping curves and a more modern, aerodynamic profile than earlier generations. During this long production run, Chevrolet continually updated the design, including the 1975’s newly engineered self‑restoring bumper system that maintainedthe car’s lines while improving durability. Additional refinements appeared throughout the C3's evolution, and the generation ultimately concluded production in 1982.
Acquired by the current owner's family in 2021, this 1975 Corvette was subsequently repainted in blue and fitted with a replacement 402ci V8 engine paired to a refurbished three-speed automatic transmission and refurbished rear differential. Additional work said to have occurred under current ownership included the replacement of various braking, steering, and suspension components. Inside, the Corvette features silver vinyl upholstery and an AM/FM/cassette stereo as well as a rebuilt clock and replacement trim pieces.
This 1975 Chevrolet Corvette is now offered with an owner's manual and a clean Illinois title in the current owner’s name.
