Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1973 Triumph TR6 represents the heart of British sports car engineering during the early 1970s. Introduced in 1968 and produced through 1976, the TR6 was Triumph’s answer to the growing demand for robust, stylish roadsters in the American market. With its 2.5-liter inline-six engine, classic long-hood/short-deck proportions, and bodywork styled by Karmann of Germany, the TR6 blended European flair with British tradition.
By 1973, the TR6 had matured into a well-balanced sports car, offering improved reliability and performance. U.S.-spec models featured dual Stromberg carburetors and produced approximately 104 horsepower. The TR6 was praised for its torquey engine, responsive handling, and straightforward mechanical layout, making it a favorite among enthusiasts and weekend racers alike.
This 1973 Triumph TR6, finished in Emerald Green over black vinyl, is a standout example that won 2nd place in class at the 2025 Kansas City All British Car Show. It features a high-quality respray in its original color, a new Robbins convertible top with zip-out rear window, and new wool carpets. The seller notes long-term ownership by the previous owner from 1989 to 2025.
