Description
The Chevrolet Corvette saw a surge in popularity throughout the 1970s thanks to its striking design, V8 engines, and impressive handling. And in 1974, the Corvette received notable updates, including revised rear styling, soft, color-matched urethane bumpers at both ends, and a vertically split rear bumper.
Under the hood, 350- and 454-cubic-inch V8s delivered the power, while a three-speed or four-speed manual or a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transferred it to the rear wheels. And inside the comfortable interior, available options included air conditioning, power windows, power brakes, power steering, and a tilt/telescopic steering column.
And C3s like this 1974 model have enjoyed a renaissance thanks to the Restomod craze. Its timeless body was fitted with a custom hood with an integrated airbox, then finished in pearl yellow paint. And it sits on an aftermarket Street Shop C3 chassis that is both lighter and stronger than stock, and wears C4 Corvette front and rear suspension.
Combined with its monstrous 540-inch, fuel-injected V8, six-speed transmission, big brakes, and 20-inch wheels, the result is a highly optimized 1974 Corvette that’s ready for the drag strip, the road course, and the boulevard.
