Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

Huntsville, Alabama — or “Rocket City,” as we know it — is home to NASA rocket-propulsion research and development. This special offering is once again a presentation of the unique, with American Muscle, British class, and heavy post war iron from multiple platforms all on offer. These cars are ready for blastoff, and all will be launched to new homes and garages as all lots are presented with NO RESERVE.    * * *

The Jaguar E-Type Series III marked the final chapter of one of Britain’s most iconic sports cars. Introduced in 1971, the Series III brought major changes to the XK-E centered around refinement and power, most notably Jaguar’s new 5.3‑liter V12 engine. This smooth, torque-rich powerplant gave the aging design fresh life and distinguished the final E-Types from earlier, six‑cylinder models.

By 1974, the Series III was available only as a 2+2 coupe and a roadster, both built on the longer wheelbase chassis that improved ride comfort and interior space. Styling revisions included a larger, cross‑slatted grille, flared wheel arches, and updated bumpers to meet U.S. safety regulations.

This Jaguar is finished in dark blue paint with green pinstriping over a dark blue interior with leather upholstered bucket seats. The Jaguar’s V12 engine is mated to an optional three‑speed Borg‑Warner Model 12 automatic transmission. Additional features include a color-matching hardtop, black convertible top, optional chrome wire wheels, factory air conditioning, flared wheel arches, and a bonnet bulge.

This 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III Roadster is now represented at no reserve by a Broad Arrow Specialist in Georgia with a jack, spare hoses and gaskets, and a clean Illinois title in the current owner's name.
