Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

Chief designer Jerry Hirshberg aimed to evoke a sense of speed and elegance when he penned the third-generation 1971-73 Buick Riviera. Radically redesigned, it featured a sharply tapered “boat tail” rear end and large, sweeping front fenders. By 1973, the rear was toned down to a more conventional squared-off look, yet despite the styling revision, the Riviera retained its dramatic presence.

Under the hood, the GS (Gran Sport) package added performance flair to the Riviera’s luxury image. It featured a 455 cubic inch V8 engine producing 250 horsepower, paired with a Turbo-Hydramatic transmission. The GS also included a limited-slip differential, firmer suspension, and upgraded tires for improved handling. Just , and this Riv has been further updated with 17” Ridler wheels. This Riviera is one of just 3,933 1973 cars equipped with the GS Handling Package. It is now offered in Michigan with a clean title.
