Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
“Oldsmobile: Always a step ahead.” The 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass S was a stylish and popular mid-size car that represented the final year of GM’s second-generation A-body platform. Positioned between the base Cutlass and the performance-oriented Cutlass Supreme, the Cutlass S Hardtop Coupe offered a blend of sporty design and everyday practicality. It featured a sleek notchback roofline, minimal chrome trim, and a distinctive split grille that gave it a more aggressive look than its siblings.
Under the hood, the Cutlass S came standard with a 350-cubic-inch Rocket V8, producing 180 horsepower, with optional upgrades including a 455 V8. Transmission choices included a three-speed manual, four-speed manual, or GM’s Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic.
With strong sales and a reputation for reliability, the 1972 Cutlass S helped solidify Oldsmobile’s place in the muscle car era. This Cutlass S Hardtop Coupe is finished in Ebony Black with the factory Rocket 350 V8 punched out to 383 cu-in, paired with the factory four-speed manual transmission — and is showing just 26,203 miles that are claimed to be original based on known ownership history.
