Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The second-generation Chevrolet C Series trucks, introduced in 1967 and produced through 1972, quickly became icons of American design. Early C10 models stood out with their sleek, car-like styling featuring a long front end, refined grille, streamlined cab, and a flush-mounted tailgate latch. Designed by Harry Bradley, the bold look initially raised eyebrows but was later toned down to a more practical aesthetic as the series evolved.
By 1971, the C10 offered impressive versatility. Buyers could choose between three series, fleetside or stepside beds, 115-, 127-, or 133-inch-long wheelbases, a range of engines from inline sixes to V8s up to 402 cubic inches, and both manual and automatic transmissions. Multiple rear axle ratios added to the customization options.
But what really set the C10 apart was its comfort. Thanks to a ladder frame and coil spring suspension, it delivered a smooth, car-like ride enhanced by a host of available power and convenience features.
Revolutionary in its time, the C10 remains a highly sought-after classic today. And this restored 1971 short bed is a great example, as its body, chassis, and powertrain have been refreshed for its next owner.

The consignor states, “This Tuxedo Black Chevrolet C10 Short Bed sits on 20-inch Billet Specialties wheels. The entire truck body was stripped and soda blasted, with new bed panels, bed floor, and front panels installed. The undercarriage has also been stripped, cleaned, and painted in Satin Black. It was professionally ceramic coated in the fall of 2024, and the paint is clear enough to read in the reflection.”
