Description
Since its introduction for the 1965 model year, Buick’s Gran Sport line has provided a fantastic blend of luxury and muscle that defined Buick’s more performance-oriented offerings.
The 1971 Buick Gran Sport 350 Coupe was a refined expression of Buick’s muscle car ambitions during the waning years of the performance era. Based on the Skylark platform, the GS 350 was the entry-level model in the Gran Sport lineup, offering a balance of power and comfort. It came standard with a 350 cubic inch V8 engine producing 260 horsepower, paired with either a three-speed manual or optional automatic transmission.
Stylistically, the 1971 model featured a more aggressive front end with a revised grille and bumper design, while retaining Buick’s signature luxury touches. The GS 350 also included performance-oriented suspension upgrades, dual exhausts, and optional Ram Air induction. Despite its muscle car credentials, it maintained Buick’s reputation for a smooth ride and upscale interior.
Featuring slight upgrades to boost its curb appeal, this 1971 Buick GS is presented as a well-cared for and thoughtfully updated example of Buick’s classic “Banker’s Hot Rod.”

Ownership History
The current owner acquired this 1971 Buick Gran Sport 350 Coupe in 2021, and he added the wheels after his purchase. The previous owner had placed a 455 decal on the air cleaner and Stage 1 emblems on the fenders to make it appear as a big block car, but it is a true factory Gran Sport 350.
