Description
While the Chevrolet Chevelle debuted in 1964 with an angular design, the second-generation model took Chevy’s muscle car styling to the next level. 1968–up Chevelles had an absolutely sinister look, blending sensual curves with a semi-fastback roofline that drew inspiration from the recently redesigned Camaro.
By 1970, the Chevelle’s design evolved further with distinctive sheet metal, an upgraded interior offering more modern conveniences, and SS models featuring unique styling, a domed hood, special wheels, and a sport suspension.
This example was built in Oshawa, Canada, and is powered by a 350ci V8 with an engine stamping that matches the serial number. It was reportedly born as a bench seat car with a 4-speed, before being converted to bucket seats with a 3-speed automatic transmission. It is finished in red with black stripes and black upholstery, rides on Rally wheels, and in tribute to the mighty SS models, wears a power dome hood, black grille, and SS emblems.
This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean South Carolina title in the owner’s name.

Ownership History
The seller states, “This 1970 Chevelle SS tribute was purchased off the showroom floor from the owner of a Chevrolet dealership, who I believe was the 2nd or 3rd owner. It was originally a rare Malibu Sport 4‑speed bench seat car, and it now has bucket seats and a TH-350 automatic transmission. The mileage is believed to be original.”
