Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The 1969 Ford Mustang retained the classic long-hood, short-deck proportions that defined the original pony car while introducing a more aggressive front-end treatment and wider stance. Though convertibles were typically more subdued in appearance, this particular example stands out with its factory-style hood scoop, hood pins, and front spoiler—features more commonly associated with performance variants. Whether these were installed by the dealer or original owner remains unknown, but they lend this droptop a distinctive muscle car flair.

Finished in Candy Apple Red with a white vinyl roof and red vinyl interior, this Mustang Convertible has been in the care of its current owner since the mid-1970s, after being purchased from the original owner. It underwent a partial restoration approximately 30 years ago and has been garage-kept ever since, driven sparingly for shows and parades. With a rebuilt 302 cu-in V8 installed around 125,000 miles, the car is ready for its next chapter.

Ownership History

This Mustang was purchased from its original owner in 1974 or 1975, has remained in the care of the current owner ever since, and is now offered with a clean Washington title in seller's name. The five-digit odometer reads 76,872 and is believed to have rolled over once—the seller clarifies, “We're certain of the 176k miles (one rollover) because of our purchase from the original owner with the car ~5 years old and about 35k miles at the time.”

The vehicle was partially refurbished approximately 30 years ago and has been “garage-kept, driven only a few times per year for events such as shows and parades" according to the seller, who notes the car retains its classic charm, despite some cosmetic imperfections.
