Description
In 1968, Pontiac’s second-generation GTO debuted with a curvy, semi-fastback body wearing a revised grille, horizontal headlights, and a new, dent-resistant Endura front bumper. But General Manager John DeLorean wasn’t done — to further bolster the GTO’s image, Pontiac created a hot special-edition: The Judge.
Beneath a flashy exterior embellished with decals, stripes, and badges, the GTO Judge was equipped with a 400ci V8 in 366-horsepower Ram Air III guise (as seen here), or 370-horsepower Ram Air IV trim, paired with a 3- or 4-speed manual or a 3-speed automatic, and combined with a 3.55 or higher rear gear. Heavy-duty shocks and springs with Rally wheels improved handling, and a blackout grille and rear wing warned potential challengers of its tire-burning, 14-second quarter-mile potential. The 1969 Judge’s aggressive styling gave second-generation GTOs a high-profile boost, and only added to the "Goat’s" performance reputation going into the 1970s.
And lucky for you, this Judge is currently owned by the original owner's spouse! The seller states that this example has been refinished in its correct Carousel Red, and is powered by a factory Ram Air III 366-horsepower V8 backed by a Hurst-shifted 4-speed manual transmission.
This one-family-owned GTO Judge is now offered on behalf of the current owner with original ownership documentation including the Protect-O-Plate, service records and refurbishment receipts, PHS documentation, and a clean Colorado title in the current owner’s name.
