Description

In the March 1970 edition of Cycle World magazine, the author wrote of the Honda Trail 70: “Considering all its features, this mini stands deservedly tall among its competitors ... Handling and durability are just two of its strong points, while it still has much more to offer. You can’t beat it for looks and its portability makes it even that much more desirable.”

Bigger than a minibike, smaller than a motorcycle, the Honda Trail 70 provided easy-to-operate mobility while looking good doing so. The 72cc four-cycle engine meant no mixing of gas and oil, and for first-time riders the clutch-free three-speed transmission reduced the learning curve. With its light weight and folding handlebars, the Trail 70 could easily be tossed in the cavernous trunk of a 1960s-era sedan.

Then there was the Trail 70 look, with lots of chrome and attractive colors, including Candy Gold, Candy Sapphire Blue, Candy Blue Green, Candy Emerald Green, Candy Topaz Orange, or, in this case, Candy Ruby Red. Beautifully restored to like-new condition, this 1969 Honda Trail 70 is highly desirable among motorbike enthusiasts.
