Description
After two years of anticipation, the sleek 1967 Camaro emerged as Chevrolet’s bold response to Ford’s Mustang. By 1969, the Camaro had evolved into an even more aggressive machine, featuring squared-off wheel arches, a distinctive V-shaped grille, vented rear quarter panels, and a streamlined rear valance.
The high-performance Camaro SS came equipped with a potent 350 or one of three available 396 V8s, paired with either a manual or automatic transmission. To handle that power, the SS featured a heavy-duty suspension, wider wheels, and power front disc brakes.
Visually, it stood out with a unique hood, a black grille (silver on black SS models), and SS badging on the grille, fenders, and rear panel. And SS-equipped cars could also wear the RS package, with unique visual features like concealed headlights and different front/rear light mounting locations.
This 1969 Camaro RS/SS has been refinished in stunning Hugger Orange. The consignor states that it is powered by a replacement 375-horse 396, it retains its original transmission and rear end, and the sale includes the original disassembled 396, which would make it numbers matching.

Ownership History
The consignor states, “From what we have decoded from the VIN tag and CAL tag, the transmission and rear end in the car are numbers matching. I additionally have the matching 396 engine that needs freshened up to go with the car. This would make this a complete, numbers-matching 1969 Camaro RS/SS. The original motor is not in the car now, but it comes with the car.”
“The rear end, front suspension, and brakes have just been gone through and repaired, replaced, or rebuilt where needed. All fluids changed and serviced.”
