Description

Introduced for the 1968 model year, the second-generation Chevrolet El Camino adopted Chevrolet’s new “Coke-bottle” styling language, sharing its underpinnings with the Chevelle while offering the unique blend of muscle car performance and pickup utility that defined the model. With sleek body lines and a wide range of available drivetrains, the 1968 redesign marked the beginning of one of the El Camino’s most popular eras.

This 1968 Chevrolet El Camino has been refinished in metallic turquoise with custom pinstriping over a retrimmed palomino interior upholstered bench seat, aftermarket instrumentation, and a modern head unit with Bluetooth.

Power is provided by a fuel-injected 350ci V8 crate engine paired with a Saginaw four-speed manual transmission. Additional modifications include a Moser Engineering 12-bolt rear axle, four-wheel power disc brakes, and a refreshed suspension system. True mileage is unknown, as the seller intentionally set the odometer to 196.8 as a nod to the model year. The seller estimates that approximately 10,000 miles have been driven since the refurbishment.

This 1968 Chevrolet El Camino is now offered with a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.

Additional Information

From the seller: "This El Camino came factory-equipped with a four-speed transmission and air conditioning. The air conditioning system requires a condenser and hoses to be fully operational, as the compressor and evaporator are already installed. This vehicle is the result of a comprehensive five-year build, during which every component was removed, media blasted, powder-coated, or replaced with new OEM parts. The odometer currently reads approximately 197 miles, with actual mileage since completion estimated to be less than 10,000 miles.”
