Description
The 1968 Chevrolet Camaro represents the second model year of Chevrolet’s first-generation pony car, blending timeless styling with modern performance upgrades. Originally offered with a range of powertrain options, this example has been extensively modified to deliver contemporary power, handling, and comfort while retaining its classic silhouette.
Refinished in Garrett Red Pearl with dark gray stripes, this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro features shaved drip rails and Fesler flush-mounted windshield and rear glass for a sleek, modernized profile, along with tinted windows. Under the hood, a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 is equipped with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system, Summit Racing intake manifold, and aluminum radiator. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission and a 9-inch rear end. The chassis benefits from a Total Cost Involved (TCI) front subframe using a Mustang II-style front suspension setup and power rack-and-pinion steering. Braking is handled by power-assisted Wilwood Superlite six-piston front and four-piston rear red calipers with drilled and slotted rotors.
Inside, the reupholstered cabin is equipped with leather Recaro front bucket seats, a roll bar, and custom panels. Modern amenities include remote start with push-button ignition, power windows and locks, HVAC, center console, and custom stereo system. Additional upgrades include aftermarket gauges, LED lighting, and aftermarket wheels. Two 12-volt batteries power the vehicle and audio system, connected via a Painless battery disconnect switch in the trunk.
The odometer shows less than 500 miles since the extensive overhaul. The seller notes that the current owner of 19 years invested $250,000+ in modifications and refurbishment, with documentation available.
Located in Oklahoma, this modified 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is now offered on behalf of the current owner with documentation covering the build, a factory hood, car cover, and a clean Georgia title in the current owner's name.
