Description
NOW OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Introduced in 1967 as Chevrolet’s answer to the Ford Mustang, the Camaro quickly established itself as a cornerstone of the pony car segment. The 1968 model year marked the second year of production and brought subtle but important changes like federally mandated side-marker lights, a revised grille design, and the elimination of vent windows for a cleaner look. Under the skin, improvements to suspension geometry enhanced handling, while a wide range of engine options continued to attract enthusiasts.
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro has been repowered under current ownership by a fuel-injected 6.0L LS‑based V8 paired with a 4L60E four‑speed automatic transmission, both installed and tuned by Big 3 Racing of West Salem, Ohio. (Receipts documenting the build can be found under "Additional information" below.) The car feature modern digital instrumentation, long‑tube headers, upgraded cooling and fueling systems, and a Holley Terminator X Max engine and transmission management system.
Refinished in metallic red with white and gold-accented Le Mans-style stripes under previous ownership, the car features an interior with bucket front seats upholstered in black vinyl and houndstooth. Outside, it features LED lighting and it rides on 15" steel wheels with chrome trim rings.
This modified 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is now offered with service documentation, spare and removed parts, receipts from the powertrain installation, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.

Servicing & Documentation
From the seller: “The dyno information on my vehicle was destroyed in a fire that Big 3 Racing experienced. After reaching out to my contact there, he was able to share a few details from memory. The engine was making approximately 480 horsepower at the crank, and through the automatic transmission it put down 387 wheel horsepower. The custom torque converter and transmission were built by R&R with upgraded internal components and an estimated stall speed of around 3000 rpm.
Unfortunately, that is the best I can provide given the circumstances. I distinctly remember having the dyno report, and I’ve searched everywhere—twice, three times—but I will keep looking. For clarity, the transmission work was completed by R&R Transmission in Olean, NY.”
See “Service Records” attached under Additional Documents for extensive details about the engine and transmission.
Known Imperfections
Rust bubbling on lower inside edge of passenger door
Touched up paint chip on trunk lid
Paint chip on driver door edge
Unfinished trunk
Ownership History
From the seller: “I purchased the car in July 2020. The non‑original 454 truck engine it came with ran poorly and had no verifiable history, so I commissioned Big 3 Racing to install and tune the LS‑based drivetrain currently in the car. All mechanical work is fully documented.
Since my ownership, the car has been stored in a climate‑controlled environment and started regularly. It has never been raced, and some original parts are included. Paintwork was completed by the prior owner, and the car remains largely original aside from the mechanical upgrades listed.”
Included
Miscellaneous spare and stock parts
Documentation of engine and transmission build
