Description
Released for the 1965 model year, the second-generation Chevrolet Corvair was redesigned with European‑influenced styling that featured a longer, lower silhouette, with a pillarless roofline for coupe and sedan versions. The Corsa variant was the top-of-the-line offering, featuring an air-cooled 164ci Turbo-Air flat-six engine that was factory rated at 140 horsepower along with distinctive nameplates, trim, and a silver-painted rear cove.
This ‘66 Corsa underwent a multi-year refurbishment under current ownership, which saw the car stripped to bare metal before being refinished in Aztec Bronze over color-coordinated vinyl upholstery. The 164ci flat-six engine is equipped with quadruple Rochester single-barrel carburetors and is mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional details include a wood-look two-spoke steering wheel, lap belts, a factory-correct AM/FM radio, Oldsmobile-sourced Super Stock II wheels, and BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires, which the seller notes have been sized to maintain a correct speedometer reading.
This 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa Sport Coupe 4-Speed is now offered with manufacturer’s literature and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.

Additional Information
From the seller: “The car, as acquired from its original owner, had been off the road since 1974 and the engine was frozen, but it was a solid candidate for complete restoration. Every effort was made to keep the car close to stock condition with only reversible modifications. The car has had about 1500 miles placed on it, working out any restoration bugs.
Aztec Bronze with a Bronze interior was a rare color combination, which was only available in 1966 for the Corvair. This car achieved a score of over 95.66 at the 2026 National Corvair Convention Concours’ de Elegance in Gettysburg, PA in June 2026.
