Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Ford swiftly revolutionized the automotive industry with the introduction of the Mustang at the New York World’s Fair in April 1964, captivating a young generation of enthusiasts. For its second full year, the most notable update on the '66 Mustang was the introduction of a new grille design featuring a floating horse emblem. Additionally, the side scoops were redesigned, new wheel covers were introduced, and the interior was updated with a new five-gauge instrument cluster.
This 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe was purchased by the seller approximately 33 years ago. The longtime owner reports the vehicle was moderately refreshed at that time and used as a daily driver before being stored and sparingly driven thereafter. The car has reportedly remained garage‑kept for the seller’s entire ownership and, over the years, transitioned from occasional driver to long‑term project.
The seller reports the original 289ci V8 engine was replaced with a 302ci V8 said to have been bored .30 over and fitted with an upgraded cam in the mid-1990s, though no documentation is available. In 2018, the seller serviced the brakes, and installed a Holley four‑barrel carburetor, ignition components, tires, and a radiator.
This 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
