Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1966 Chevy II Nova represented the first year of the model’s second generation, continuing its reputation as a practical, stylish alternative to Chevrolet’s full-size offerings. Originally designed to challenge Ford’s Falcon, the Chevy II lineup included two-door, four-door, and station wagon body styles in varying trim levels.
For 1966, the Nova received more muscular styling, including a one-piece grille, different headlight bezels, and aggressive side panels. The result was a sharper fastback look that still stayed true to its squared-off design. Under the hood, buyers could choose from an economical inline-six or step up to the 283ci and 327ci V8s. And there was also a 350-horsepower Super Sport model, which made the lightweight Nova a force to be reckoned with.
This 1966 Nova started life with a V8, and now is even more powerful with a fuel-injected 5.7-liter LS1 V8 engine and overdrive transmission. Its body was reworked, accented with a custom hood, then refinished in clear coated black paint. It rides on a modified lowered suspension system and features four-wheel disc brakes. And it’s dressed in a high-end interior wearing custom seats, door panels, and headliner with a unique central waterfall that continues into the finished trunk.
