Description
NOW OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The Eldorado stands as one of the most elegant expressions of Cadillac’s Fleetwood-bodied personal luxury cars. As the final year of the rear‑wheel‑drive Eldorado convertible, the 1966 model combined exclusive styling, smooth V8 performance, and touring comfort. With its low production numbers compared to standard DeVilles, the Eldorado has long been prized by enthusiasts seeking rarity wrapped in unmistakable Cadillac presence.
This 1966 Cadillac Eldorado is finished in Ember Firemist paint over a white leather interior with a matching folding soft top. Power comes from Cadillac’s 429 cubic-inch V8 engine paired with a Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 three-speed automatic transmission. The seller reports that fluids changes have been done on an annual basis.
This Eldorado was reportedly purchased as almost-new at the seller’s uncle’s Cadillac dealership after the original buyer returned it after his wife decided she preferred a coupe. The seller’s parents are said to have acquired the car directly from the dealership in 1966, and it has remained in the same family for the past 60 years. Reportedly used as a daily driver through the 1970s, it is later said to have been stored indoors, maintained, and sparingly used over the next 50 years.
This 1966 Cadillac Eldorado is now at no reserve with factory literature, uninstalled rear fender skirts, a top boot, and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.

Ownership History
From the seller: “My uncle was a national top Cadillac salesperson, and he eventually opened his own Chevrolet dealership. In 1966, he told my father that he had a client who purchased this car but returned it after only a week because his wife did not want a convertible. My parents then traded in their earlier 1960s model for this 1966. They owned many Cadillacs after it, but this was their last convertible.
My mother was very attached to the car and decided she would keep it as an antique. It was initially her primary vehicle, but it eventually became the sunny‑day‑only car once she purchased another Cadillac. It’s been in the family essentially since new. I inherited the car in 2016.”
