Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The Ford F-250, introduced for the 1961 model year, quickly earned a reputation as a durable three-quarter-ton pickup designed for farmers, contractors, and commercial users who were looking for a greater payload capacity than the lighter F-100.

Buyers could choose between Ford’s dependable inline-six and V8 powerplants, paired with manual or automatic transmissions. The truck featured the distinctive “Twin I-Beam” front suspension introduced earlier in the decade, which improved ride quality while maintaining rugged capability. Buyers could choose between Styleside (smooth) and Flareside (classic stepside) beds.

This example wears Rangoon Red paint over a red interior with vinyl upholstery. Its 352ci V8 is mated to a three-speed manual gearbox. The pickup also features 16" painted steel wheels with hubcaps, heater and defroster, and a three-spoke steering wheel.

What sets it apart, however, are its modifications, which include the additional of a vintage aluminum camper shell with storage cabinets, reflectors on the tailgate, an aluminum fuel tank, a reupholstered or replaced bench seat, homebuilt wooden center console with storage, auxiliary switches and indicator lights, an aftermarket control panel for camper lights, a vintage Hoppy trailer-towing level indicator, an aftermarket vintage-style radio, and a gun rack mounted behind the seat.

This 1965 Ford F-250 Styleside pickup is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of the current owner with an owner’s manual and a clean Michigan title in the current owner's name.
