Description
From its 1958 introduction as the Bel Air’s premium trim level to immense success as its own model, the Chevrolet Impala is one of the most beloved full-size vehicles ever built.
By 1964, the Impala had reached the end of its third generation — marking the final year of the X-frame chassis. That frame stretched across a long 119-inch wheelbase, and wore a coil-spring suspension for a smooth, comfortable ride. Its sleek, 210-inch body showcased Chevrolet’s design prowess with bold character lines, a wide sculpted grille, unique front and rear deck windsplits, and signature “upside-down U” shaped aluminum trim arching above its round taillights.
Inside, occupants were coddled in soft foam seats, and enjoyed vinyl trim, bright aluminum highlights, and a unique Impala steering wheel. Optional features included power steering, power brakes, power windows, and a power seat. And with six-cylinder, 283 V8, and 327 V8 engines connected to three- or four-speed manuals or a two-speed Powerglide, Impala offered a performance level for every driver.
This 1964 Impala Sport Coupe has been in the same family for over 30 years, was previously restored, and still has its original 283 V8.

Ownership History
The consignor states, “This car has been in my family for over 30 years. It was completely restored when my aunt purchased it over 30 years ago, so there was no Bondo or quick fixes done. The engine and powertrain with the 283 V8 is all original, and the interior is in good shape.”
“The vehicle has been stored indoors every winter, so it has not been exposed to the Michigan winters. The only additions during my ownership were a new gas tank and gas gauge. Regular maintenance has all been done, along with safety checks.”
This Impala Sport Coupe is offered with a clean Michigan title in the seller's name.
