Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

In 1963, the Plymouth Valiant received its first major redesign since its 1960 introduction. Gone were the baroque swirls, curves, and fins, which distilled the car into a very sound, practically bulletproof compact. The Valiant now sported a trim, squared-up shape with a wide C-pillar and a fine-mesh upside-down trapezoid grille, and the fender line ran smoothly from the rear to the front, where it curved back over the front wheel and faded out. The V100 was the base, the V200 had more options, and the V200 Signet was top of the line, all of which were powered by slant-six engines of 170ci or 225ci, factory rated at 101 or 145 horsepower.

This ‘63 Valiant V200 is powered by the 225ci option, which is backed by a push-button TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. The car wears a Medium Beige repaint complemented by a color-coordinated vinyl interior. The car was acquired in 2013 by the seller, who notes that service under their care has included rebuilding the carburetor and replacing the battery, tires, radiator, water pump, heater core, thermostat, brake master cylinder, spark plugs, ignition wires, and starter.

This 1963 Plymouth Valiant V200 four-door sedan is now offered at no reserve with a broadcast sheet, a service manual, manufacturer’s literature, 1963 Michigan license plates, and a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.
