Description

The 1960 Chevrolet Apache C10 marked a pivotal moment in American truck design, launching the first generation of GM’s C/K series. Replacing the Task Force trucks of the 1950s, the C10 introduced a modern, more car-like driving experience thanks to its independent front suspension and a drop-center ladder frame that lowered the cab for easier access and improved handling. 

The “C” in C10 denoted rear-wheel drive, while “10” indicated a half-ton capacity. The Apache name, used since 1958, continued to be associated with these early C/K models. Buyers could choose between two body styles: the Fleetside, with smooth bed panels, and the Stepside, featuring exposed rear wheel arches and a step behind the cab.  

This Apache C10 Stepside is powered by a 307ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, while the body is refinished in red with a contrasting white grille, bumpers, and roof. Wooden planks line the bed floor and are joined by side stakes, and a spare tire carrier with a body-color cover mounted on the left.
