Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

“More and more 1960 car buyers are finding that you can't get anything like the combination of LeSabre performance, handling, ride, quality and features at anything like the LeSabre price.” Introduced as part of Buick’s full-size lineup, the LeSabre was positioned as an entry-level luxury vehicle, offering a blend of style, performance, and affordability. But this is a Buick, and entry-level was anything but stripped down.

The 1960 model featured a sleek, elongated body with distinctive tail fins and a wide front grille, embodying the era’s fascination with futuristic, jet-inspired aesthetics. Under the vast hood, it was powered by a 364 cubic inch "Nailhead" V8 engine, capable of producing 250 horsepower. Standard was a three-speed manual transmission, though the great majority were equipped with Buick’s Turbine Drive automatic transmission for a smoother driving experience.

The LeSabre Convertible was known for its spacious and comfortable interior, which included high-quality cloth or vinyl materials and advanced features for its time, such as “the wonderful eye-saving convenience of Mirromagic instrument panel” and a power-operated convertible top. Buick produced 13,588 units of the 1960 LeSabre Convertible, making it a relatively rare and sought-after ragtop.    Highlights
