The 1957 Ford Thunderbird was the final and most refined year of the first‑generation “Baby Bird,” originally introduced as Ford’s answer to Chevrolet’s Corvette. For 1957, Ford gave the Thunderbird a notable redesign featuring a longer rear deck, a reshaped front bumper, and stylish tailfins. The interior emphasized comfort over sportiness, staying true to Ford’s “personal luxury car” concept.
