Description
Introduced in mid-1955, the Chevrolet "Task Force" models brought innovations such as available V8 power, 12-volt electrical systems, and a modern wraparound windshield, features that blurred the line between passenger cars and trucks and influenced pickup design for decades to come. The 3200 was the long-bed, half-ton version of the lineup, offering increased cargo capacity compared to the 3100 short-bed. For 1957, Chevrolet updated the Task Force styling with a redesigned grille and the addition of distinctive hood spears inspired by the contemporary Chevrolet Bel Air, giving the truck a more sophisticated appearance. The 1957 model year also marked the introduction of the celebrated 283ci V8, an engine that would become one of Chevrolet’s most legendary powerplants.
Previously a California truck, this 1957 Chevrolet 3200 was reportedly relocated to Michigan by the previous owner, where the seller acquired it in 2025. The seller subsequently performed over $16,000 of repairs and modifications as detailed below and with supporting invoices provided in the photo gallery.
This truck is finished in a bronze/white exterior that shows patina, and rides on steel wheels wrapped in whitewall tires. Inside, it features a bench seat, tilt steering column, and aftermarket water temperature gauge. Under the hood sits a 350ci V8 mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic overdrive transmission, and it is also equipped with power steering and power front disc brakes.
This 1957 Chevrolet 3200 is now offered with service receipts and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.

Additional Information
The seller states, "Rust-free, long-bed 1957 Chevrolet 3200 stepside with the big back window, relocated to Michigan from California. Over the past 16 months it was built into a dependable driver rather than a show truck. This is the truck you drive to the show, not the one you trailer. Documented spend since purchase is over $16,000, with the shop work covered by a 36-month/36,000-mile warranty from Jeremy's Automotive & Performance in Casco, MI. It has 175 miles on the new speedometer since the drivetrain install, and it starts, idles, stops and cruises at 60 mph in overdrive."
