Description
The 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Stepside pickup was part of Chevy’s celebrated Task Force series, introduced in the mid-1950s to modernize truck design. It featured a distinctive wraparound windshield, a bold egg-crate grille, and smooth body lines that gave it a stylish, car-like appearance. The Stepside bed, with its flared rear fenders and exposed wheel arches, offered practical loading space while maintaining a rugged look. This model became an icon of American craftsmanship, blending utility with mid-century design flair, and remains a favorite among collectors today.
This 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Stepside reportedly underwent a frame-off refurbishment performed between 2017-2019 by the seller and is finished in Ingot Silver with a two-tone bucket seat interior. Power comes from a 477ci big-block V8 with a tunnel ram intake and dual 450 Holley carburetors, paired with a Monster-built R400 automatic transmission. A Ford 9” rear end with 4.10 gears handles the power, and other upgrades include Hooker headers with full exhaust, Cragar wheels with Mickey Thompson tires, air bag suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, Vintage Air A/C, a Camaro front suspension, and more.
Described by the seller as a "show vehicle", this modified 3100 Stepside is now offered with approximately 1,100 miles since the refresh was completed, records of the work, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
