Description

The best just got even better. Chevrolet’s 1955 “Hot Ones” were wildly popular, and Chevy made sure the ’56 edition was even more so. Motor Life magazine said of the updated ’56 Chevys, “Forward cant of the front end has been emphasized by stretching the hood metal out another four inches. This, with angled headlight hoods and grille, give the illusion of motion.”

There is no need for illusion with this 1956 210 Sport Coupe. Restored and reimagined in 2002, it features a creative mix of Fifties, Sixties, Seventies, and Eighties Chevy goodness. The power is from a 1972 350 cu-in Small Block with four-bolt mains with Trick-Flow aluminum heads and Holley induction. Much of the interior is from a 1965 Impala, including the bucket seats and console. Down below the rear four-link coil spring suspension from a 1972 GM A-Body and GM four-wheel power disc brakes continue the enhancements. Finish it off with 1980s IROC Camaro wheels and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, and this revitalized 1956 210 Hardtop Sport Coupe captures some of the best of classic Chevrolet performance.
