Description

The 1955 Buick Super Model 56C Convertible Buick-grade comfort with strong V8 performance. Riding on Buick’s substantial 127-inch wheelbase, the Super featured Harley Earl-era styling highlighted by sweeping body lines, a bold chrome grille, and distinctive VentiPorts.

Power came from Buick’s 322ci Fireball V8, producing a factory-rated 236 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque when equipped with Dynaflow transmission. The overhead-valve engine delivered smooth acceleration and effortless highway cruising. Buick’s advanced coil-spring suspension and torque-tube rear driveline contributed to an exceptionally refined ride quality for the era. The convertible body offered open-air motoring while retaining Buick’s reputation for luxury.

As part of Buick’s prestigious Series 50 lineup, the Super balanced performance, comfort, and elegant styling, making it one of the most desirable American convertibles of the 1955 model year.

This Model 56C Convertible was acquired in 2024 from its previous owner, who is said to have cared for it for approximately 25 years. In 2025 it received a repaint and further refurbishment work leaving it in its current condition.

This 1955 Buick Super Model 56C Convertible is now represented by a Broad Arrow Specialist with a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.
