Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The first-generation Ford F-Series, introduced in 1948, marked a turning point in the American pickup market. Designed to meet the growing demand for versatile work vehicles in the post-war era, the F-1 combined rugged utility with improved driver comfort. Its “Million Dollar Cab” offered a wider, taller cabin with better visibility and seating, making it feel more like a passenger car than a farm truck. By 1950, Ford refined the formula further with a one-piece windshield, a sturdier grille, and enhanced interior appointments, cementing the F-1’s reputation as a practical yet stylish workhorse.
This 1950 Ford F-1, finished in Vermillion Red over tan vinyl upholstery and carpeting, retains its classic character while featuring select updates for usability. Power comes from a swapped-in Chevrolet 350ci V8 paired to a GM four-speed automatic transmission. The truck rides on aftermarket 15-inch turbine-style wheels wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires, and its wood-lined bed with metal strips add period-correct charm. Additional features include larger chrome side mirrors, A-pillar-mounted spotlights, and additional Sunpro gauges for modern water temperature, voltage, and oil pressure readings.
This 350-powered 1950 Ford F-1 Pickup is now offered with partial service documentation, a repair manual, and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.
