The 1950 Chevrolet Panel Van emerged from Chevrolet’s Advance-Design series, the company’s first major post‑World War II truck redesign introduced in 1947 and produced until 1955. This generation was marketed as bigger, stronger, and sleeker, sharing its basic design across pickups, Suburbans, and panel trucks.
Built on a sturdy pickup‑truck chassis, the 1950 panel van provided a fully enclosed cargo area ideal for small businesses that required secure, weather‑protected transport. Its windowless sides also created ample space for signage, making it a mobile billboard for tradespeople, delivery services, and merchants. Stylistically, the van reflected the rounded, modern lines characteristic of the era’s design shift, combining utilitarian durability with early mid‑century aesthetics.
This 1950 Chevrolet Panel Van is refinished in white paint and has “Ambulance” painted above the windshield, rear window, and on the doors, along with “Rx Roof: The Prescription For Your Ailing Roof” on the side panels. Updates include power-operated gray bucket seats, two-tone gray vinyl and cloth door trim, a gray vinyl headliner, a center console with cup holders, wooden rear floor with a compartment for the spare tire and jack, and a 6-in-1 instruent gauge cluster with a digital odometer.
The Panel Van is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer with a spare tire and jack and a clean Oklahoma title.
