Chevrolet Advance Design is a light, medium and heavy-duty truck series redesigned after World War II. The trucks were billed as a larger and stronger design than its predecessor AK Series. Other common names across the platform include the Chevrolet 3100, 3600, 3800, Loadmaster, Thriftmaster and GMC New Design. 

This Thriftmaster would have received an upgrade in 1948, with the manual transmission shifter moving to the column instead of the floor. The 5400 was a mainstay hauler, doing so with a 236-horsepower inline-6 engine with a four-speed manual gearbox featuring a granny gear.  

What began as a restoration quickly became a one-of-one custom build creating the ultimate vintage car hauler. The chassis was custom fabricated to RV spec and features a fully adjustable air ride system. Power is delivered from a 468 cu-in V8 paired to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. A custom slant bed was added with hideaway, pull-out loading ramps and a 12,000-pound Badland winch that can pull just about anything you have in your collection. Polished chrome, diamond plates and Victory Red exterior finish make this hauler in a league of its own.
