Chrysler debuted its full-size Windsor line in 1939 as an almost identical copy of the more luxurious Chrysler New Yorker. The two models shared size, interior and standard features, however, the Windsor featured the more economic Chrysler Straight Six engine. The Windsor sat above the Royal line, offering a more upscale interior, until the Royal nameplate was discontinued in 1951.

The Series C-22 Windsor debuted as a coupe, four-door Business Coupe, Victoria Coupe and Club Coupe. The four-door Sedan could accommodate five passengers, with retrial prices starting at a reported $1,185. 1941 marked the debut of the station wagon variant and offered optional fog lights and bumper guards. Production ended in January 1942 with the onset of World War II, with the Windsor returning in 1946.

This 1941 Chrysler Windsor sedan has a well-documented ownership history and shows 57,072 miles, believed to be correct based on its "actual miles" Virginia title and known ownership history from new. Mr. and Mrs. F.R. Anderson in Princeton, West Virginia traded in their 1936 Chrysler sedan to purchase this '41 model Windsor. The original owners lovingly kept and cared for this car until it was sold to the second owner in September of 1994. The second owner drove it sparingly and passed it to the third owner in November of 2003. The third owner was a private dealer and collector in New York prior to joining the Raleigh Classic Collection.
