Description
Replacing the aging Model T, the Model A introduced more modern features such as a 40-horsepower four-cylinder engine, a conventional three-speed transmission, and driver controls that would feel familiar to motorists today, making it far easier to operate than its predecessor.
The Model A was one of the vehicles that helped modernize light-duty trucking in America, giving farmers, tradesmen, and small businesses of all kinds an affordable and dependable work vehicle during a period of rapid industrial growth. The Model A brought automotive-style engineering and mass-production efficiency to the commercial vehicle market. When fitted with an open bed at the rear, it helped establish the template for the light-duty pickup trucks that would become an American staple in the decades to follow.
This 1929 Ford Model A pickup is finished in green with a black bench seat interior. Powered by a 201ci four-cylinder mated to a three-speed manual transmission, this Model A rolls on red wire wheels and sports a custom fully wooden truck bed. Under the hood, it has been converted to a 12-volt electrical system and features a GM-style alternator.
The seller has owned this vehicle since 2025, and reports that under current ownership the alternator and belt have both been replaced.
This 1929 Ford Model A is now offered without reserve with a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.

Wheels are from a 1931 Ford. Belt was recently replaced and is solid. We rebuilt the carburetor, put in a new battery 3 months ago and we have only ever used non-ethanol gasoline."
