Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
More than 15 million Model Ts were produced between 1908 and 1927. And when hot rodding became popular, the Model T was a great option for those desiring a low-cost street machine. Many stock-bodied Ts were modified, T bodies were dropped onto other car frames, and aftermarket bodies debuted as early as the 1920s before exploding in popularity years later.
And as the need for Model T speed grew, the number of body panels dropped. While hot rodders were buying up the newest speed parts and adding radical cams, high-compression heads, multi-carb manifolds, high-voltage ignitions, and chrome accents, they were also removing the T’s fenders, bumpers, and hood. And from these experiments, the T-bucket was born.
Built by Concours Auto, this particular 1926 T-bucket’s use of old-school speed components give it an authentic feel: Its 289ci Ford V8’s Mickey Thompson valve covers frame a high-rise Weiand intake wearing dual carburetors and an air scoop. Long-tube roadster headers feed into unmuffled side pipes. A custom frame houses performance suspension components and front disc brakes. And the interior combines tan upholstery with a customized wood dashboard. Chrome wheels and wide Mickey Thompson tires allow this T-bucket to stand out at any car show or cruise night.
This hot rod is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer with a car show sign board and stand, scale model, and a clean Florida title.
