Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Walter P. Chrysler introduced his namesake brand in 1924 with a six-cylinder car featuring a high-compression engine, full-pressure lubrication, and four-wheel hydraulic brakes. Chrysler expanded the range in mid-1926 with the Series 60, a smaller model on a 109" wheelbase powered by a 180ci L-head inline-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission. The "60" designation referred to the car's advertised ability to sustain 60 mph, and the model was offered in a range of open and closed body styles.
This Series 60 is a four-door, six-window sedan with an exterior refinished long ago in black over its earlier blue paint, which is now showing through in areas, and wooden-spoke wheels. The interior features patterned cloth upholstery, and the front seat cushion has been recovered in red fabric.
Updates include an electric fuel pump, and the original dash-mounted ignition and lighting switch has been bypassed with four hidden toggle switches.
This 1926 Chrysler Series 60 Sedan is now offered at no reserve with a clean Michigan title in the seller's name.
