Along his journey of automotive excellence, Dr. Hens amassed a collection of special air-cooled Porsche sports cars spanning every generation, alongside a nearly immeasurable treasure trove of highly sought-after Porsche parts.

Offered from The Thoroughbred Motorsports Collection of Dr. Karl Hens, this lot brings together a set of four genuine, Harvey Weidman restored Porsche Deep Six Fuchs wheels accompanied by a set of center caps, a complete 1973 Porsche 911 instrument set, and a pair of Hella H4 headlamps.
The four 6x15 Fuchs wheels carry part number 901.361.012.06 with date codes spanning January 1970 through November 1970 — correct for early 911 and 914/6 applications and presented in as-is condition with natural patina consistent with prior use and long-term storage. Having been restored by Harvey Weidman, these wheels have been refinished to a remarkable caliber.
The instrument set comprises a complete five-gauge cluster — clock, speedometer, tachometer, fuel/oil gauge, and oil temp/pressure gauge — date codes consistent with early 1970s Porsche 911 production. The oil temperature/pressure gauge features updated numeric scales showing actual pressure levels.
As with all components from The Thoroughbred Motorsports Collection, inspection is encouraged via the detailed photo gallery or in person at Hagerty Garage + Social Savannah.

Taxes & Fees:
As a reminder, auction lots on Hagerty Marketplace carry a bidder’s premium that is 7% of the final sale price, $500 minimum. In addition, applicable Georgia sales tax (7%) will be collected on non-vehicle purchases after an auction, unless the buyer qualifies for an exemption.
Buyers are responsible for all taxes, export/import duties, and compliance requirements. Valid resale or export documentation must be provided before payment to claim any exemptions.
Invoicing:
Please note that invoices will be sent by the seller’s agent to all buyers in November 2026.
Shipping:
All items are FOB Hagerty Garage + Social, Savannah, Georgia, and must be removed within a reasonable time following payment.
