This wall art piece is built on a genuine front hood from the 964-generation Porsche 911, which was produced from 1989 to 1994. Its design draws on the light blue and orange colors associated with Gulf Oil's racing sponsorship, carried most famously on the JW Automotive Ford GT40s and Porsche 917s of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
According to the seller, the hood was refurbished and sanded before being fully wrapped by hand by a Los Angeles-based artist using automotive wrap films. Each design element was individually cut and applied by hand, with no digitally printed vinyl used. The hood retains a Porsche crest and is offered with a wall-mounting system for display in a garage, office, or other enthusiast space.
